秋山伯耆守虎繁

- 秋山氏は甲斐源氏の一族で、虎繁は武田氏の南信濃の伊那郡を治める拠点となった大島城代となり、隣接する三河、遠江、美濃方面の軍事・外交面で活躍した。元亀3年（1572）、信玄が上洛を目指したとされる西上作戦にも参戦した。翌年には、織田信長に対する最前線の美濃国の岩村城に入城し、城主の遠山景任未亡人（信長の叔母)を妻に迎えた。
Akiyama Torashige, Hoki-no-Kami

- The Akiyama clan, like the Takeda clan, was a line of the Kai Genji clan. Torashige was given the Takeda's Oshima Castle to manage, a position vital for controlling southern Shinano's Ina region, and was a key figure in military and diplomatic affairs involving the adjacent Mikawa, Totomi, and Mino provinces. In 1572, he took part in Shingen's campaign to take the capital. The following year, he went to the very border of Oda Nobunaga's territory and occupied Iwamura Castle, taking the widow of its lord Toyama Kageto (the aunt of Shingen's rival Nobunaga) as his wife.
