- 延徳3年(1491)~永禄4年(1561)6月2日
- 遠江国から甲斐国に来た虎盛は、春日虎綱の副将として海津城に入り、最前線で上杉勢の攻撃に備えた。死去する際に「よくみのほどをしれ」と遺言したことが知られている。その子昌盛も父に劣らぬ猛将で、足軽大将衆として勇猛果敢な働きをみせた。昌盛の代に小幡に改姓し、昌盛の子小幡景憲は、武田流軍学の祖となる。
Obata Toramori, Yamashiro-no-Kami

- Masamori's father Toramori came to Kai from Totomi and joined Kasuga Toratsuna as his second-in-command at Kaizu Castle. There on the front lines, they prepared for an attack from Uesugi forces. His final words are said to have been, "Know your limits well." Masamori would prove an equally brave commander, and was famous for his fearless leadership of ashigaru foot soldiers. Masamori changed a character in his family name, and his son Obata Kagenori would go onto become the founder of Takeda-style military studies.
