土屋右衛門尉昌続
- 天文14年（1545）？～天正3年（1575）5月21日
- 金丸氏の出身であるが、信玄の側近として厚い信頼を寄せられ、永禄11年（1568）頃に重臣土屋家を相続した。駿河出兵の際には、信玄の意向によりこの方面の指令の伝達をすべておこなっている事からもその信頼ぶりがうかがえる。天正3年(1575)、長篠の戦いで織田家佐久間氏の陣を打ち破るが、激闘の末に戦死した。
Tsuchiya Masatsugu, Uemon-no-Jo
- Born 1545 (?) ― Died May 21, 1575
- Masatsugu was born to the Kanemaru clan, but after gaining Shingen's trust as a close associate, he was made head of the important Tsuchiya clan around 1568. Shingen's trust for him was well demonstrated during their dispatch to Suruga, during which Masatsugu delivered all orders to units in the area. In 1575 during the Battle of Nagashino, Masatsugu successfully routed the Oda-Sakuma clan's formation, but lost his life during the intense fighting.
